Right after retiring, my grandfather put up a small office and worked in his home library. With 8 grandchildren and growing, it is remarkable how he was able to cater to all of us especially whenever we were all together in the house barging inside and out of his office door without any door closer. We know that my grandfather is busy but he never ever complained even when all his grandchildren were rowdy, boisterous and noisy. He lets us mess around the home or with his things. And, one of our favorite items to play with was actually his combination lock box.
He never ever yelled at us or perhaps berated us for disturbing his job. He do not ever told us to never go to his office. He was actually an extremely patient guy. However, my grandmother was different. She would always inform us that she is going to put a door closer within the library in case we won’t behave properly. Once in a while, if we see her getting all riled up, we will behave but after a couple of moments we will be back to our usual noisy behavior.
Then one day, our grandfather got really sick. It worried all of us. We loved him so much that it could be a totally different world if he’ll leave us. He was the ideal grandfather in the globe. While we had been inside the hospital, all 8 grandchildren choose to have a conference to speak about something important. With that meeting, we now have decided to contribute any sum that we can so that we can acquire door closers for our grandfather’s library. For us, this was the best way which we can show to him how much we love him.
